A focused watercolor study built around one distinct expression or emotional moment.

A More Personal Way to Explore Emotion

I begin with the feeling you want the painting to hold, whether it is tenderness, uncertainty, joy, grief, or something more difficult to name. From there, I study the face, posture, and visual references that can communicate that feeling with clarity. The finished work remains intentionally focused, allowing small details and transparent color to carry the emotional weight.

The experience is collaborative without becoming complicated. You can bring a reference image, a personal idea, or simply a mood you want to see interpreted. I use my watercolor process to shape that starting point into a considered study with a quiet, expressive presence.

Ideal For

• Personal emotional references

• Character and portrait development

• Artists exploring facial expression

• Meaningful gifts with a reflective quality

How It Works

1. Share Your Idea: Tell me about the expression, feeling, or reference you want to explore.

2. Develop The Study: I observe the visual details and build the painting through layered watercolor.

3. Review The Result: I share the completed study as a focused interpretation of the chosen emotion.
